Today we find ourselves surrounded by a wide range of stimulants for physical training, sports performance, weight loss (real or imaginary), to “improve” concentration, focus, and mental clarity, to increase libido and sexual performance. Many of these preparations mix herbal principles with chemical compounds and amino acids. They also tend to have high chemical content, and in many cases sugar as well. Their consumption, which is starting at an increasingly younger age, is increasing exponentially. Stimulation is a great marketing strategy, and we are only just beginning to realize the impact it can have on the central nervous system, on sleep, on the circulatory system, on the glands, on the brain, on the mind, on the teeth\u2026 <\/p>\n\n

Excessive consumption of stimulants is almost always associated with a saturated lifestyle, body and mind pushed to the limits at the expense of sleep, resulting in nutritional and immunity deficits. It usually comes from the need to feel more energy and is associated with accumulated fatigue, mental over-stimulation, and spiritual voids. <\/p>\n\n

It is very important to connect with our real need to activate ourselves and learn to conduct our internal energy. Being sovereign of our body also means monitoring the energy flow. Listening to our rhythm, again, guides us in how we are walking actively. <\/p>\n\n

When I need to activate myself, I look for allied plants that promote constant and even energy flow in the body. To avoid a negative impact on the digestive, nervous, and lymphatic systems, I seek plants of very good quality and organic. This will also ensure their aroma, flavor, and organoleptic profile. <\/p>\n\n

It’s also key to know how plants interact with our body and the habits we have. With greater physical activity, caffeine tolerance can be better. However, under stressful situations, the effect of caffeine tends to be adverse. The best way to enjoy plants high in caffeine is under relaxed conditions. <\/p>\n\n

These stimulating plants are better tolerated after having eaten something to avoid digestive symptoms, imbalances in blood sugar, and in the nervous system.<\/p>\n\n

The less frequently you consume them, the more stimulating they feel. Over time and frequency, the body generates resistance and loses sensitivity. <\/p>\n\n
